The failing check was a CI bug that broke the checkout step for any PR opened from a fork. I fixed it in #245, which is now merged to main. However, CI runs the workflow from the branch, so #243…

Closing/re-opening to re-trigger CI — no content changes. The earlier failure was the fork-PR checkout bug fixed in #245 (now on main); re-opening reruns against the fixed workflow.
