Gitea
The supported GIT Service at PSI is https://gitea.psi.ch available from the PSI network and the Internet. Here you can find various information about the services offered with Gitea and a FAQ about the migration.
Permission Scheme
It is very important to understand that this service can be accessed over the Internet and the organizations and projects need according access restrictions.
Organization / Project Permissions
Following settings allow/restrict access to projects:
- Public
- Enables read access to unauthenticated users (Also from the internet)
- Limited
- Visible to authenticated internal users (potentially all PSI users excluding external users)
- Private
- Visible to explicitly added users

In case you want to manage your teams with AD groups, please send a mail to Gitea Project with the AD groups, Organizations and Teams.
User Accounts
There is two types of user accounts in Gitea with different default access permissions:

Normal User
- Is allowed to see Public and Internal projects when logged in

Restricted User
- Is only allowed to see Projects explicitly added to.
