# (RHEL9) Beamline Consoles
Also see [User Guide - Beamline Consoles](../user-guide/consoles)
## Filesystems
```bash
/<facility>/<beamline> # volume
/<facility>/<beamline>/bin # qtree with quota
/<facility>/<beamline>/config # qtree with quota
/<facility>/<beamline>/applications # qtree with quota
/<facility>/<beamline>/data # qtree with quota
/<facility>/<beamline>/code # qtree with quota
/<facility>/<beamline>/misc # qtree with quota
```
The pgroup folders and `raw` and `work` links in `/<facility>/<beamline>/data` are automatically created via **ras-n-001** und **xbl-daq-31**.
The purpose of the toplevel folders is the following:
| Folder Name | Purpose |
| ----------- | ------ |
| bin | scripts and wrapper scripts that need to be in the PATH of a linux system |
| config | Configuration files for applications |
| config/qt | Configuration files for caqtdm |
| config/launcher | Configuration files for the epics launcher |
| applications | Application binaries for the beamline/endstation |
| data | data storage of the beamline/endstation organized by pgroup `<pgroup>/[raw|work]` Propriatary, non PSI pgroups, do not have a `work` storage/folder|
| code | Place to checkout code that should be available all across the beamline/endstation |
| misc | Whatever else ... If there is a need that people have their own "workspace" we propose to use `<username>` subfolders here ... |
### Permissions
All folders in `/<facility>/<beamline>/*` should have following permissions:
```bash
drwxrwsr-x. 3 root unx-sls_x12da_bs 4096 Sep 13 2021 bin
drwxrwsr-x. 7 root unx-sls_x12da_bs 4096 Jan 19 2021 config
drwxrwsr-x 2 svcusr-bec_deploy unx-sls_x12sa_bs 4096 Jul 28 15:04 config/bec
drwxrwsr-x. 4 root unx-sls_x12da_bs 4096 Sep 28 2023 applications
drwxr-xr-x. 570 root root 45056 May 9 11:32 data
drwxrwsr-x. 4 root unx-sls_x12da_bs 4096 Sep 28 2023 code
drwxrwsr-x. 4 root unx-sls_x12da_bs 4096 Sep 28 2023 misc
```
Folders below can/might have diverging permissions.
In any case the group `unx-sls_beamline_bs` should have always write access through NFS4 ACLS!
Following NFS4 ACLS need to be set:
```
TO BE DEFINED
```
