Big change to strategy, instead of using ROOT histograms to find the mean,
...
use pedestal calculations. This has two advantages, I think it's more correct
(avoiding the TH2 projection mean feature of ROOT) and it runs alot quicker.
Results are slightly modified on a per step per pixel level, but unchanged
on a module level.
