    TRIMSP-NL Workbench 1.4.0 is the release accompanying the manuscript
    "Modernization and Statistical Validation of a Multilayer TRIM.SP Code
    for Low-Energy Muon and Ion Implantation".

    Highlights include:

    • generalized multilayer target handling;
    • support for more than five elements per layer;
    • modernization and modularization of the legacy Fortran code;
    • correction of localized bookkeeping and initialization issues;
    • explicit release, debug, profiling, and static build modes;
    • runtime-selectable RANLUX, PCG32, and xoshiro256** generators;
    • approximately twofold reduction in simulation time with the fast
      RNG backends in the published validation suite;
    • updated web and standalone GUI workflow.

    RANLUX remains the default backend for continuity with historical
    calculations.
