# Unix Groups / Group Management

|
Users can be added to a unix group by this workflow:
|
|

|
|
|
The administrators registered for a group will get an approval request email. Uppon approval the user will be automatically added to the group.
|
|
|
|
You can also add users on their behalf. If you are one of the admins of the groups the request will be automatically approved (no need to approve it additionally)
|
|
|
|
|
|
The member as well as the administrators of the group can be found here:

If there are no administrators marked, the helpdesk will get the approval request.
|
|
|
|
To remove users from a group create a general Service Now ticket.
|
|
