(Manual) NFS Mounts

MacOS

NFS4 Filesystems can be directly mounted on MacOS with the following command:

# retrieve a kerberos ticket if you haven't one yet
kinit

# mount NFS share:
sudo mount_nfs -vv -o sec=krb5,vers=4 <fileserver>:<export> /Users/ebner/packages_misc

Replace <fileserver>:<export> with the specific fileserver/export you want to mount.

Windows

IMPORTANT: Although Windows 11 comes with a build in NFS client, this client is only able to mount NFS exports up to version 3.0. Mounting NFS version 4.x is not possible!
