Experimental Accounts - pgroup - eaccount

For each proposal of an experiment (proposals are managed in https://duo.psi.ch) that gets scheduled, there is a so called pgroup. This is a Unix group manages the access to the experiment data and needed resources (e.g. access to the consoles)..

For each pgroup there is also a so called eaccount that can be used to collect data when a beamtime is scheduled. There is a one to one mapping of eaccount and pgroup (the only difference is that the account starts with e and the group starts with p).

The pgroup can and will hold additional accounts that are related to that proposal. These additional accounts can be added in DUO and must be used to access and analyze the data after the data is collected.
