very tricky...
...
ChannelMonitorImpl is lobotomized with the smarts going
to MonitorStrategyQueue, both implementing Monitor.
While CMI proxies calls poll/release() to MQS,
it seems that MQS doesn't proxy destroy() to CMI.
So calling destroy() on MQS is a no-op...
