The Smaract Motor integration is missing an attribute for precision. The GUI (PositionerBox) complains if you use it with a smaract motor.
@diaz
Do you happen to know how precise the motion of the smaract stages at cSAXS is? Is it the same for all stages, or does it depend on the used specific motor? If yes, what is the precision for the
xbpm2motorI don't know al those details... A smaract motor can in principle have a precision of a few tens of nanometers in the direction of motion, but this doesn't help for positioning something in 2D with high precision. For us it is typically OK if they habe 1 micron precision, or maybe 0,5 micron
I don't know the specific values for the xbpm2 motor. What I know is that there is one axis for the xbpm2 (I think the y motion) that was not working correctly about 10 days ago. However Maria told me yesterday that she checked this with Mirko after that and it was working now again. I was not aware of that...
Maybe Xavi knows about the specific precision for that stage, he is at the beamline
