# Syslog Forwarding

To forward the system logs to a Syslog server, configure in Hiera `log_client::forward_to`:
```
  log_client::forward_to:
    - 'log1.psi.ch:1514'
    - '@log2.psi.ch'
```
This sends to `log1.psi.ch` on the custom UDP port `1544`, but also `log2.psi.ch` gets a copy on TCP default port `514`.
