This repository contains the available configuration and FAT-related files for an OWIS linear stage with a TR-Electronic LT340-S linear encoder. The stage came from the SwissFEL laser group; the user is carlo.vicario@psi.ch.
Encoder identification and published specifications
The installed encoder nameplate in Media/20260916_165615.jpg identifies TR-Electronic LT340-S, article 3200-00035, serial 0005. It states 340 mm measuring length, 0.1 µm resolution, SSI/24 bit, binary code, and 11–27 V supply. TR-Electronic also lists an LT340-S SSI catalogue variant, article 3200-00002; this is a different article number and must not be substituted for the installed unit.

The encoder is connected directly to 24 V DC, according to the installed-system wiring information provided by the user. This is within its 11–27 V nameplate range. The ECMC files configure 24 SSI position bits, binary coding, a 1 MHz clock, and 10,000 counts/mm (0.1 µm/count). startup.cmd also contains a 9 V EL5042 supply setting, but the encoder is not powered from that output; the setting is therefore not the installed encoder supply. Confirm the actual supply voltage and wiring, count direction, and mechanical datum during commissioning before motion or FAT conclusions. See ECMC configuration.
Installed motor nameplate
The motor photo identifies a VEXTA / Oriental Motor PK245M-02B-C2, two-phase stepper, rated 6 V DC, 0.8 A, with 0.9° per full step (360° / 0.9° = 400 full steps/revolution). The ECMC motor component agrees on 0.8 A and 400 steps, but declares U_NOM_MV=48000 (48 V). The photo does not establish phase resistance, inductance, wiring, or the permissible drive supply; verify these against the exact motor documentation and installed drive before enabling motion.
